​Hi, I'm Daniel - a photographer based in Cornwall in the UK. My interest in photography began around the age of 14, when I was gifted my first DSLR for Christmas. Growing up in a rural village in the West Midlands, I spent hours wandering the fields and canal path near my home, photographing birds, sunsets and whatever else piqued my interest. After scraping by at school, failing my A-level exams and becoming disillusioned with my first job, I enrolled onto a photography course in the city. Having learnt to drive that year, I would travel no less than an hour and a half to places like The Peak District and The Shropshire Hills to complete my assignments - studio work didn't interest me (and still doesn't!). It was the landscape that captivated me (and still does). During my second year on the course, I naturally began to wonder "what next?" Cornwall was the answer. More specifically, the Marine and Natural History Photography course at Falmouth University, which was the only university course I applied to. Thankfully, my application was accepted and I moved to Cornwall aged 21. Feeling like I'd made the right decision, I worked hard over the three year course duration and graduated with a First Class Honours Degree. I also met my girlfriend Grace, made some great friends, and managed to enjoy the Cornish lifestyle and culture (when I wasn't studying or working one of my multiple jobs). Following my graduation I applied for a job with TakeThatPhoto, a sports event photography company. I got the job and spent 4 years working up and down the country with them, handling image post processing, sales, and the food shop (if you know, you know!). During this time, Grace and I relocated to Cornwall as she began her Master's Degree. With a bittersweet feeling I left TakeThatPhoto and my superb colleagues in 2026, aged 28.

What does the future look like? 

As of Summer 2026, my sights are set on the horizon - quite literally. Combining my passions of landscape photography and running, I'm following the Cornish running race scene, photographing the participants as they aim to complete some of the most stunning routes. I'm also working with a property photography agency, providing photos for estate agents - something completely unfamiliar to me but new and exciting nonetheless. I spend much of my free time with my beautiful girlfriend Grace, embracing all the delights of Cornish living, such as post-swim beach barbecues, and morning runs along the coast path.
