Scenes of Snowdonia is a celebration of the picturesque national park that is Eryri (Snowdonia). Since its designation as a national park in the 1950's, Eryri has attracted visitors from all over the world to northern Wales - the number of annual tourists reaching nearly 4 million in 2025. Scenes of Snowdonia however is a romanticised photographic account of the more remote and "wild" places in the park. Not a person can be picked out of the 50-odd landscape images that occupy the book, although many fellow walkers, wanderers and photographers were passed on the way to each summit, through each woodland, and around each lake. A labour of love from the beginning, many days were spent searching, watching and waiting for the opportune moments to capture each image on 120 film, and after 9 months the book was complete with the accompanying creative writing passages. It serves as a hopeful reminder to all that view it to respect and protect the great Eryri National Park.
